About

Church Tool Stack is run by Caleb Brooks — a pen name for an independent editor with years of hands-on church-tech implementation experience.

Why this site exists

Every church operator knows the moment: someone says "we need to fix guest follow-up," and you realize you don't know how churches your size actually do it. Vendor sites give you feature lists. Directories give you tool names. Community threads give you anecdotes — no steps, no costs, no context.

Meanwhile, a church down the road solved the same problem two years ago. This site exists to close that gap. We interview real churches and publish their actual implementations — the tools, the steps in order, what it costs, how hard it was, and when we last verified it.

Why a pen name

The work matters more than the byline. Writing under a pen name keeps the focus on the churches and their workflows, and it keeps the editorial judgment here separate from everything else Caleb does. That separation is real, and it has rules — oureditorial standards andconflict-of-interest policy are public. Judge us by those and by the pages.

What you can hold us to

  • Every page comes from a real conversation with a real church.
  • Every page shows when it was last verified.
  • A page ships complete or it doesn't ship at all.
  • Rankings and placement are never for sale.
  • When we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and note the date.
